Plans, trials and how you pay
Which plan is which, how free trials work, and who bills you.
KiwiBudget has a Free plan and four paid plans: Sync, Student, Pro and Legend. Paid plans are monthly and renew until you cancel, and every price is in New Zealand dollars with GST included. The current prices and what each plan includes are on plans and pricing.
Who bills you
It depends where you subscribe, and whoever bills you is also where you manage the plan.
- On the web (app.kiwibudget.nz): by card, through Stripe, billed by KiwiBudget Limited. Your card details go to Stripe and never to us.
- In the iPhone or iPad app: through your Apple Account.
- In the Android app: through Google Play.
Free trials
New Student, Pro and Legend subscriptions on the web start with a 7 day free trial. Nothing is charged until the trial ends, and if you cancel before then you pay nothing. Sync has no trial and is billed from the day you start. In the phone apps, Apple or Google show any trial on the plan before you subscribe.
Switching between paid plans does not start a new trial.
The Student plan
Student unlocks everything Pro does, at a student price. It needs a confirmed New Zealand student email ending in .ac.nz, so change your account email to your university or polytech address first.
