Importing transactions from a CSV
Bring in transaction history exported from your bank.
If you prefer not to connect your bank (or want history from before you joined), you can import a CSV exported from your bank’s internet banking.
- Export transactions as CSV from your bank (ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Westpac and Kiwibank layouts are all understood, including day-first dates and split debit/credit columns).
- In KiwiBudget, open Transactions and choose Import CSV.
- Pick a manual account to import into - bank-synced accounts keep themselves up to date, so imports go to manual accounts only.
- Review and confirm. Categories are applied automatically, and you can run Auto-categorise afterwards to tidy the rest.
